When you make a gift to Homewood or Evergreen, you become a Friend of the JHU Museums. Joining the Friends provides resources to the museums, puts you in contact with other like-minded supporters, and grants you benefits that bring you closer to the history and culture you love. Your gifts are cumulative
If you make several smaller gifts during the year (July 1-June 30) we count the cumulative value for your Friends benefits. Once your combined annual giving exceeds one of the stated thresholds, you qualify for all the benefits of that giving level. For example, if you give $80 in August, $100 in December, and then $70 in March, you would qualify for the benefits of the $250+ level once the third gift is made in March.
Make an honorary gift
If you would like to make a donation in honor of someone else and transfer the benefits to them, please contact Dominique Zeltzman, Associate Director of Development for the JHU Museums, at dzeltzman@jhu.edu.
Other ways to give
We also accept gifts of appreciated securities, gifts in kind, life-income gifts, and testamentary gifts. For more information on these types of gifts, please contact Dominique Zeltzman at 410-746-8634 or dzeltzman@jhu.edu.
2024 Changes to the Museums Benefits Program
On July 1, 2024 the JHU Museums changed from a Membership structure to a Friends of the Museums structure. The main difference is that there is no minimum giving threshold to becoming a Friend. In the old membership model, memberships started at $50 ($25 for JHU faculty, staff, and students). Gifts below that threshold did not incur any benefits. Now, gifts (and benefits!) start at just $1.
If you purchased a membership between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024, it will be honored until the expiration date in 2025. After that, we encourage you to renew your support and become a Friend!
